I need money to do this thing, would it be rude to ask my grandma for it?

it's for educational purposes, but not college or anything like that, my parents don't have enough money to pay for it (i need $250)

i want to ask my grandma to loan me the money but i know my parents dont want me to. my younger brother asked for a loan from her and he never paid her back, so my parents think im going to do the same thing.

should i ask her for the loan or not? i dont like borrowing money from people but i really want to do this. should i go against my parents and ask her for the money or no?

im in the process of getting a job, i've applied at over 30 different places and have been looking for about a month and a half, i can't wait until i get a job because i already registered for it. i was sure i was going to have a job by now.

I need money to do this thing, would it be rude to ask my grandma for it?

Don't know why, but the phrase 'educational purposes' sets off an alarm.

It's not college or anything like that.....sooooooooooo. Exactly what is it?

I'm wondering if your parents don't want you to ask for the money because of what the money will be used for. Maybe they feel if you want that $250 bad enough, then work for it.....not borrow it.

anybody else hear those alarm bells ringing???

EDITED to ADD:

Ah I see. Since when did a trip to Cicago become %26quot;educational%26quot;? You want to go and your parents don't want you to. No wonder I heard alarm bells!

Another question of yours:

%26quot;%26quot;

I want to go to chicago but my parents dont want me to. I'll have to borrow money from my grandma, but my parents dont want me to.

if i dont get to chicago, it'll prove that my parents have control over me no matter what age i am, im 19 btw. if i dont go to chicago i'm going to stay here unhappy still under my parents control.

I need money to do this thing, would it be rude to ask my grandma for it?

If your brother did that to her then you should write up a contract and sign it.

Make sure it says when you borrowed the money, when you will pay it off, and what it will be used for.

Make it as official as possible so that there is no way that you could deny it later.

Go for it, the worst she can say is no!

I need money to do this thing, would it be rude to ask my grandma for it?

No you should not go against your parents wishes and ask your grandmother. You have to learn to go without what you and your parents cannot afford. Reapply when you have the money or see if you can defer.

I need money to do this thing, would it be rude to ask my grandma for it?

If you honestly plan on paying her back do both of you a favor and sign a written contract. I'm not doubting you or anything, but then your parents might not be against you borrowing the money.

I need money to do this thing, would it be rude to ask my grandma for it?

Don't ask, because $250 isn't worth the grief this will cause. Sell something, go without, get a payday advance, don't do this.

I need money to do this thing, would it be rude to ask my grandma for it?

You should reassure your family that you won't stiff your grandmother by giving your word sincerely. Work out a payment plan so that you are giving your grandmother something every paycheck. This will show her that you are trustworthy and you never know if you'll need to borrow from her again.

I need money to do this thing, would it be rude to ask my grandma for it?

Try to remind your parents that you are not your brother and that they should not compare the two of you. If you have always been a responsible person, they should accept that you will repay the loan. Write out a plan for repayment and show it to your parents so that they can see that you have thought it out completely. Then ask you grandparents for the loan. I am a grandparent and if one of my grandchildren asked for help, I would give it gladly as long as I could afford it. Good Luck

I need money to do this thing, would it be rude to ask my grandma for it?

no disrespect but if your struggling to get a job now how are you going to pay her back?

if the money is for educational purposes and your not working maybe you could apply for some kind of grant from the state

I need money to do this thing, would it be rude to ask my grandma for it?

Don't go against your parents wishes!!!!! Maybe you could make some deal with your parents...........you will do extra work around the house or get a job, babysitting, etc. When you make money see if your parents will match what you will make. They may go for that; seeing you are trying to earn money on your own.

I need money to do this thing, would it be rude to ask my grandma for it?

Talk to your parents again. You're not your brother and you shouldn't lose this opportunity. If your grandma has the means, I'm sure she'll lend you the money. Grandmas are incredible

I need money to do this thing, would it be rude to ask my grandma for it?

I say go ask her for it,,you have already registered for this..All she can said is no...Tell her not to say anything to your parents about this...Good Luck

Go with your heart and if you do have a job and promise to pay ou back.

Another question about law school?

I heard some depressing news today. I was told that you have to have good credit to sit for the bar. Is this true. Now my credit isn't bad but it isn't the greatest either. If this is true then I don't know about even applying to law school. I probably won't get any loans due to my credit so how can I pay for school? I have considered finishing my nursing degree instead of changing my major to political science like I was going to. Work a couple of years as a nurse and then apply to law school. That way I might be able to save some money. Has anyone done this and what are my chances of being able to sit for the bar? If I go all the way through law school and then can't take the bar exam then I don't need to try to be a lawyer right?? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another question about law school?

You don't have to have good credit to sit for the bar. They do a background check, but it's more so that the bar feels comfortable you won't go out and start taking advantage of clients. Many jobs check your credit too. Having bad credit won't necessarily disqualify you. It may raise questions though.

Getting enough financial aid may be a problem though. That's something you should discuss with the financial aid offfice of the school you're interested in. I'm not sure the gov't school loans care what your credit is, and they may be enough to cover law school.

In any case, unless you plan on going into politics, I wouldn't give up that nursing degree for poly sci. Law schools don't care what degree you have. Poly sci can be considered a negative because law schools get a ton of applicants with that degree and it's known to be an easy one. Nursing will help you stand out more. It may also make it easier for you to get an internship or job, because you can apply to those that require a science or medical background.

Another question about law school?

For the Character %26amp; Fitness evaluation, you will be asked to provide some information about your financial history, along with every other thing under the sun they can ask you about. This evaluation is required before you can receive a license.

Law school can easily cost more than $100,000, so working two years to save up some money won't be enough without loans. I'm not well versed in financial aid, so I'd suggest calling a law school financial aid office and asking them your questions.

Is buying a house is good idea for me?

Is buying a house is good idea for me?

I would like ask your suggestion about whether buying a house is good for me or not. 1. I earn approx 64K/annum, gives me 3600. So far the job is steady, may expect it same next two years atleast. Not have obtained my Green card, but have applied and pending legally.

2. I used to have a BMW, unluckily had lot of problems with it and had to buy a new coralla after spending a lot of money before selling it. So my new car loan + depreciated BMW vaule + left unpaid loan all constituted to 19,600 toatlly.

new car = 17K Old bmw bought for 14.5K, Spent for fixing the beemer 5k :-(( Sold the old bmw after fixing for 7K Carried over from old beemer loan = 3K. car loan ==%26gt; 17 + 3 = 20K (approx) 3. Other than that, I recently got married and has a new born. Marriage expenses etc got me 17 k in CC.

Monthly expenses are 2200 including 1000$ for rent.

Should I buy a house? Can I pull it off? Please advice me.

Thanks a lot.

Is buying a house is good idea for me?

you should consider a home that has a monthly payment equal or near you monthly rent. Also you might have to pospone the home buying process until you can cover the closing cost which can range aproximately 20K. I think a home is better.

Is buying a house is good idea for me?

Do you plan on living in the same area for over 5 years? If so, talk to a local real estate broker to see what value of home you qualify to buy.

Is buying a house is good idea for me?

l would suggest you reduce your debt before entering into mortgage to buy a house.l would like say why spend so much on car loans when you could have saved up money to buy one cash.Car lose you money.I would suggest you read financial books like the richest man in Babylon by George s claison or richdad poor dad by Robert kiyosaki

Is Master's in Education necessary?

I have a bachelor's in business and a master's degree in MIS from a top 50 university. I also have 10 years of experience teaching languages - mostly on a part-time basis. I've been planning to open my own language school for a while, but sometimes I feel I should get a master's degree in Education before establishing this business. I'm planning on applying to an ivy league school, but I'm torn between doing this, which will inevitably add college loans to my finances, or getting a small business loan and start my business. Obviously, the EdM has many advantages, but is it necessary or worth it? I need opinions. Thanks!

Is Master's in Education necessary?

In my opinion with your past history another master's degree is overkill. I would suggest a few education courses to cover such things as the various learning styles and the seven types of intelligences. I am speaking from 34 years of experience in public education and a masters degree with a 2nd masters to be completed in the next few months. The 2nd is really only for my own personal satisfaction.

Is Master's in Education necessary?

It really depends on which state you are in. I know of no states that require an Master's in Education to be hired. Some may require one by a certain number of years. These would definately be int the minority. It is possible that you may be able to start teaching at a higher paygrade based off of your industry experience.

Whether it is required to teach in general - absolutely not. Recent studies have shown almost no difference between the teachers who have them and the teachers that don't based off of student test scores on standardized tests.

Is Master's in Education necessary?

It would be more beneficial for you and your business if you taught for a year in a classroom rather than getting your Masters in Education.

Is Master's in Education necessary?

At most, many teaching positions will require you to be certified in the area in which you plan to teach. I have a Master's in Education (MEd), but I am not certified in anything. I also have a Bachelor's in Business. In the long-run, I believe that certification and experience will trump the actual degree. Having both will propel your teaching career. Since you are planning to open your own school, I believe that you should begin this process while looking at certification options before beginning an additional Masters. Also, currently, I am working on my PhD in Curriculum and Instruction. Maybe the PhD could be an option for you if you are at all interested in a university career. I too would like to open my own learning center. Good Luck in your endeavors!

Is Master's in Education necessary?

word of mouth and success with actual students will get you more business than a degree on your wall. You already have the experience. put it to use!~

Is Master's in Education necessary?

i have one and yeah, it's important. however, not so important is where you get it. you don't need to drop all that money on an %26quot;ivy league%26quot; school when you can get a very solid education at a state school. remember, it's the INFO that's valuable...not what the diploma says.

Cash problems?

I ran into some financial difficulties before I knew it I applied for way to many pay day loans. Now I made payment arrangements with them but my checking account is in negative and car payment needs to be paid. I am basically a single mother trying to do what I can. Does anyone know how to help me I do work right now and I need to bring my checking account back to positive.

Cash problems?

Best advice is to tighten your belt immediately. If you're getting behind on your payments CALL your creditors right away and explain. Most are much more understanding if you communicate with them.

Cash problems?

Ask everyone you know can they donate something to you to sell on ebay....that way you are not borrowing, you are not begging, and you actually are creating a business for yourself that will save you taxes as a home biz.

Cash problems?

I have found several legitimate work at home sites so far, and I made $500+ in October, over $700 in November, $900+ in December, $700+ in January, and over $850 last month. They are free to join.

Please click my screen name or avatar for more information and a link for proof of payment.

And by the way--never join a work at home program that wants you to pay up front. If they were making that much money, they wouldn't need to charge you.

What can i do about my paydayloan hell?

I have 8 payday loans out due to an emergeny that occured last month. noone would give me the entire balance that i needed so i applied for several small ones...now i'm here trying to pay off each loan-but so far they are just taking out the finance charges..@ $90 to 100 each!! I am literally paying over $800 per paycheck just on interest alone and i get paid 2x a month. that's $1600 a month just in finanace charges. I don't know what to do or where to turn for help.I'm a single mom of 3 kids and way over my head :( Any suggestions???

What can i do about my paydayloan hell?

You should have not taken such credit regardless of the situation. But now that you screwed up you need to really pray.

What can i do about my paydayloan hell?

Consolidate your loans IMMEDIATELY!!! That should reduce the payments by amount and you would only have to make one. That is your best option. Oh, don't take out pay day loan anymore!! They are a death trap. I use to work for one of them and I was so upset at how people easily fell into their traps. Borrow from family or friends instead next time.

What can i do about my paydayloan hell?

I can't really give you any financial advice, other than just stay in touch with your creditors and keep them informed of your situation, preferably in writing. If you can pay something to each creditor each month, even if it's ten dollars or whatever, it just proves you're not out to evade them.

The worse thing to do is to hide your head in the sand. Good luck, you will be okay.

What can i do about my paydayloan hell?

Go to your local consumer credit office, they know the state laws and can help you out.

What can i do about my paydayloan hell?

I'm so sorry you have to suffer through this. No doubt it's a terrible situation to be in. Chin up, though you can get through this!!

First, I'm not going to chastise you for doing what you felt you had to do. I think you've already figured out that you won't be doing any more of these in your life, eh?

Second, and this is perhaps the most important thing: Unless the pressure of the collectors is too much for you emotionally, avoid seeking the assistance of a Credit Counseling service. Using these guys makes you pay them money for something you really can manage on your own. That money instead should be used to get yourself out of your hole! Also, using these services will put negative marks on your credit that hang with you for 7 years. Sure they might be able to help you NOW, but it will hurt you in the long run.

Third: Actually this is the most important thing: no matter what DO NOT put priority on your debts over paying your rent/mortgage and putting food on the table. Bad credit sucks, but having no home is MUCH worse. The collectors will scare you six ways from Sunday to make you give them money right away. If that money needs to keep a roof over your head then they'll just have to wait.

Now I know there's nothing in here on HOW to get out. That's because to answer that requires more specific and more personal information about your current financial situation.

Please email me and I'll give you the HOW. I've gotten through this myself. Took some scarring along the way, but I'm way out of it now and enjoying real financial freedom thanks to what I can share with you.

What can i do about my paydayloan hell?

This may not be the best idea, but it will help you out right now.

Get a loan from www.CashCall.com to pay off the payday loans. You can pay the Cash Call loan back slowly. The interest is high, but it won't eat up your paychecks.

What can i do about my paydayloan hell?

Take out more payday loans to cover the ones you owe on. And then take out more to cover those. Eventually, the house of cards will collapse, but it is no worse than the scam the gov't is pulling on all of us called Social Security.

What can i do about my paydayloan hell?

go 1 by 1 with your debts, as long as you can

If you pay 1600$ a month in finance charges, you may be able to borrow enough money to get rid of these payday loans.

Good luck !
